Roundtable upgrades

The best pieces of advice I received when starting as a District Executive in January 2016 is "Plan your work and work your plan."
As the district continues to grow, it has been a goal of our top leaders to provide more interactive and stimulating Roundtable programs that increase volunteer collaboration and enhance unit activities.
Well, we now have a plan. It's time to work it.
Creek River District Roundtable Commissioners met Jan. 25 to plan Roundtable programs -- with themes -- through the end of June. The commission will meet again July 19 to plan the remainder of the year.
The product of this meeting can be found at the district's new Roundtable page.
Please take a minute to review this page as a number of significant promotions, guideline adjustments and program changes to Roundtable have been made.

Program:

As you can see above, Roundtable commissioners did its best to teach crafts and offer suggestions to better engage our youth and build our program. Each month, leaders are asked to bring materials to participate in the monthly program. Do your best to bring supplies listed for each month.

Promotions:

March and May Roundtables will be particularly helpful to units.
In March, units will receive their camp cards for the spring sale.
In May, units will receive the 2018 program planning guide will helpful council information and calendar updates through Dec. 31, 2019.

Guidelines:
Moving forward, units must have a non-district leader attend seven Roundtables before the end of 2018 to qualify for the district's annual pack and troop of the year awards.

Location:
In order to best serve our units toward the southern end of the district, March and June Roundtables will be held at the Lions Club Fairgrounds in Louisville at 1073 Ga. Highway 171. The district's new Roundtable page includes addresses and maps for each Roundtable through June. Please reference this page.
